My Creative Space - A Celebration (and giveaway)

Today I celebrate my first blogiversary and decided to have a little party in my messy studio, so you are all invited to come for a visit and have some cake. Put a party hat on and please don't look too much at all the stuff lying around the place.

I am surrounded with Keri Beyer fabrics these days, what with the quilt I am making with the Proud collection, and some Urban Farm just turned into some pillowcases. So I thought it would make sense to share my love of Keri Beyer fabrics with you on this special occasion.

So, here it is, I've put together a little bundle of three fat quarters of Proud in teal and orange.

If you would like a chance to go home with these lovelies, it will be quite simple, because who wants to make things complicated and risk ruining the party?

Here are the rules:

1. Giveaway will be opened until midnight, EDT, on March 31st, 2010.

2. Everyone can enter, international visitors welcome.

3. All you need to do is leave a comment on this post, but to make it interesting for me to read, I ask that you tell me what is your favorite sign that spring is finally here (or fall, depending on which hemisphere you call home).

4. You need to leave a way to contact you, either an email address or a link to your blog. If I don't have any way to reach you, I will have to draw another name, and that would be too bad, wouldn't it?

5. Winner will be randomly selected and I will post the result sometime on April 1st, 2010 (no April's Fool, I promise!).

Thanks for coming to the party, and best of luck to everyone!

Don't forget to visit all the other great spaces here!

Sylvie

  2. Thanks again for stopping by my blog and saying hello!
    Congratulations on one year!

One of my favorite signs of spring is the jumping up of crocus. We call it "Crocus Pocus," because it's like magic when they start popping out of the ground. Or the sight of bright yellow daffodils. Or perhaps the days getting longer and the light lingering later into the evening...oops, I guess that I love all signs of spring, it seems that people smile more. Me too.

  3. All of the bulb flowers sprouting! They're not budding yet in NY, but just seeing them emerge from the ground means that Spring is here!

  4. Huge congrats on the blog birthday! What a fab record you now have of your life over the past year. I wish I could talk about the excitment of Spring's arrival but I am afraid we are heading towards a long, cold winter in these parts. Cold, frosty mornings, darker evenings and plans for crocheting beanies and gloves.

  5. My favorite sign is the daffodils and crocuses - no matter how warm it might be in Feb. (and it wasn't, this year), I know when the flowers start to come out that winter is over again.

  7. Happy blogisversary - We're heading in Autumn (fall) here and the best thing about that is being able to wear more than just shorts and a singlet to bed - bring on warm jarmies and a doona!!

  8. What a great birthday party. I'll ignore your mess if you ignore mine, fair is fair right?

Spring IS right around the corner. I love how the air starts smelling different, drier and I love when that first little thing that is green peeks from under or behind all that dried, brown, and just-plain-ugly dead stuff. It's coming a little early for these parts too this year and I have zero complaints about that!

You can reach me at sweet.limes(at)gmail(dot)com

Thanks for the chance to win those fat quarters. They can be made into some beautiful things.

  9. Happy Blogiversary, congrats!!
I have two favourite signs of spring - daffodils opening (finally, it's been a slow/late start to spring here in the UK) and the birdsong starting up again!
This recent blog post talks about just this!

  10. Congratulations on your year in blogland!
Autumn is nearly upon us here in Melbourne ... I love the long, warm (not hot) days and being able to sit outside with in the sun without risking being burnt to a crisp.

  12. Hello, I'm a fan of your blog, don't stop. For me spring is there when I hear birds singing early in the morning, when water flow in the streets, and when I can see some plants coming out.

  13. My favorite sign of spring is when I can finally stop worrying about whether my kids are underdressed for the weather and start worrying if they are overdressed! In addition to that, I love the longer days....waking up to a sunny morning instead of a cold, dark one!
