Hello everyone!  It is Giveaway Day once again, and I am happy to offer this little fabric basket, which is an ideal size to store small cuts of fabrics like fat quarters, but can also be used for all kinds of small items.  

To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment on this post, telling me what food is a holiday tradition in your home.

The giveaway is open to everyone, only one entry per person, and I will happily ship to international visitors. Bonjour tout le monde!  Juste en temps pour les fêtes, voici un petit prix à gagner.  J'offre ce petit panier en tissu, qui est d'une taille idéale pour y ranger des petites coupes de tissus comme les "fat quarters", mais aussi toute sorte d'autres petites babioles.

Pour participer, il suffit de laisser un commentaire sur cet article et de me dire quel mets est une tradition des fêtes chez vous.

Oops! / Oups!

I drew this pattern late on a week night when I was obviously very tired.  And then on Friday I proceeded to embroider it on a napkin.  When do you think I noticed that there was too many "t"s in this word?  When I was finished embroidering the whole thing, of course!

J'ai dessiné ce patron tard un soir de semaine, quand de toute évidence j'étais un peu trop fatiguée.  Et ensuite j'ai entrepris de le broder sur une serviette de table vendredi.  Et à quel moment pensez-vous que je me suis rendu compte qu'il y avait un "t" de trop dans ce mot?  Seulement après avoir terminé la broderie, bien sûr!

It was one silly mistake, but luckily it was not too much trouble to correct it, and I ended up finishing my little project earlier than I had expected, even with the mistake in the way, and I was able to gift it to my mom for her birthday.

C'était une erreur de distraction stupide, mais heureusement elle n'était pas trop compliquée à corriger, et j'ai pu terminer mon petit projet plus tôt que prévu, même en calculant le temps de réparer ma gaffe.  C'était un petit cadeau d'anniversaire pour ma maman.

Birthday wishes

Yesterday was my sister's birthday, and I had put together a little present that I totally enjoyed sewing from some japanese fabric scraps that I love.

I made this little case for the super cute scissors I found at a Singer clearance center. Again, my inspiration came from this book. I just can't get enough of all the cute projects in it.

And I put together a needle book with the rest of the scraps, just for fun.

It all went together in a patchwork basket, from the tutorial by Pink Penguin, along with some Kaffe Fassett's FQs and a covered button kit from Cutie Stuffs.

Now let's just hope she likes the color pink!!!
